Pudina Chutney

Pudina chutney is a flavorful chutney which goes well for idli , dosas, uttapams. 

Pudina Chutney

Ingredients:

  • Onion - 2 (medium sized) (chopped)
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Tomato - 2 (chopped)
  • Red chillies - 3 or 4
  • Pudina / Mint leaves - 1 cup
  • Channa dhal - 1/2 tbsp
  • Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  1. Heat oil in a pan, add channa dhal and saute. 
  2. Add red chillies and saute until channa dhal is slightly brown.
  3. Now add the onions and garlic and saute until onions turn transparent.
  4. Add Mint leaves (pudina) and saute for 2 minutes.
  5. Add tomatoes, salt and saute until tomatoes are mushy.
  6. When the tomatoes are soft and mushy, turn off flame and allow to cool.
  7. Once the mixture is cool, grind it along with grated coconut to a smooth paste.
  8. Now tasty pudina chutney is ready.
