Chilli Chutney


Chilli Chutney is a spicy but delicious chutney which tastes excellent with idly, dosas and chapathi too.

Chilli Chutney

 To Grind:
  • Onion - 1 (roughly chopped)
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Tomato - 1 ( roughly chopped)
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Grind the above to a smooth paste.

Ingredients:

  • Curry leaves - 4 or 5 leaves
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4 tbsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Coconut oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
 

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. Once the mustard seeds splutter, add curry leaves.
  2. Add the ground paste and saute until raw smell goes off.
  3. Add salt and saute until the oil separates.
  4. Now add coconut oil and stir and turn off flame.
  5. Spicy chutney is ready.
