Kadai Paneer


Kadai paneer is one of the popular paneer dishes. In Kadai paneer the paneer is cooked with flavourful Indian spices making it an appetizing dish. 

Kadai Paneer

 Ingredients:
  • Paneer - 1 cup (cubed)
  • Onion - 1 (chopped)
  • Tomato - 1/2 (chopped)
  • Capsicum - 1 (sliced/cubed)
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste
 To Grind:
  • Coriander seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Red chillies - 2
  • Tomatoes - 2
Dry roast coriander seeds and red chillies in a pan. Grind them along with tomatoes to a fine paste.
 

Method:
  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add the paneer into the pan and saute them until they are golden brown. 
  2. Remove the paneer from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add onion and saute until they are translucent.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell goes off.
  5. Add the tomatoes and saute them until they are tender.
  6. Now add the tomato puree(the paste containing tomato, red chillies and coriander seeds) and mix well.
  7. Add chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, salt and mix well. 
  8. Allow to cook for about 5 minutes with frequent stirring.
  9. Add the capsicum and saute for a minute.
  10. Now add paneer and mix well and cook on slow flame for 2 minutes.
  11. Turn off heat and serve hot.
